Today I have been a good girl.
I did not give into the temptation to come online the first thing when I got up in the morning. Instead I vaccumed the whole apartment, tidied the rooms, made nice lunch (chana masala and pulao) and even did my yoga!
Good girl, Nupur!! :D
And I was going around the place cleaning up, I looked at things and thought how they effect me. ..help me or work for me. So, I took out my mobile and started talking pictures of them all....
I meditate
This is the window in my lounge, open to let the fresh morning breeze in, while I do yoga. The net curtain, didi's choice when she was here in Oz.
I decorate
The bowl of glass beads on my center table. Some friends first thought they were lollies!! ;)
I love
Flowers are my all time favourite, all the special days of my life are incomplete without a fresh bunch of flowers. I am not too fussy about whether its roses or lillies or tulips. Thanks.. ;)
I work
My laptop's desktop. The picture of my little nephew Shriyaan whom we have lovingly nicknamed, "Shiru"!
I laugh
This is well... flowers again, but really, my mood lifts 'always' when I see flowers. So for me Happy = Flowers and Flowers = Happy. Thats why these flowers are cotton ones, for days when I don't have fresh ones around!
I cry
My box of tissues. Need I say more?!
Today you know more about a girl named "Nupur".
And you? When you laugh, cry, work, play...??!!

its always nice to do something different .. :) I have yet to get back to my morning walk and meditation... :)
hmm... cleaning rooms... good.. For bachelor boys like me, clean houses are really allergic ;)
think u've a neat house... hey, i liked the pic of the windows.. really nice..
Nice mob :-)
And a good template.
And an excellent post.
Hey Nupur (today as good-girl),
The only thing that attracted me to your first part of good-girl post was "Chana-Masala and Pulav".(I am a former-Delhitie, give me a break...ummm...Kit-Kat...).
I realy loved your post this time. It was so very visual. Loved all the pictures, my fav. one was the marble-stone-glass-beads-thingy. (We used to call them "kanchee"...hello).
Your newphew was so very cute. All the rest of things were as-girly-as-they-get...ha ha. One thing was missing though and it was..ummm...hmmm...YOU. Now, we know one more trait of you that you can add to the list...SHY.
I remember they used to make us do "Yoga" in school back in India. It's glad you do it, I will be starting gym this weekend too.
Take care of yourself and keep blogging (coz u r good).
Ricky...ummm...chana-masala....ummmmm...
@Surinder: :D Thanks... I'm glad you liked my gift.
To many more days like these... - Cheers!!
@Sumit: This is the difference between the apartment of a Maiden girl and a Bachelor boy!!! Clean place (+ Fresh flowers!) Should try it sometime... makes you feel 'all good' inside, ;)
@Pallavi: Yaa, change is good and 'I LIKE IT!'
Now that the theme of the blog template is meditation - I guess, I wont have any excuse to forget my yoga! ;)
@Prasad: All Bach.boys are the same!! Gande sande!!
Someone has said very correctly,
"Kal me moje ulat ke pehne - geela tauliya bed pe! - Rani in HUM TUM"
*hahaha*
@Vishnu:
Thanks Mate!
Good to see you back!!
All in a day's work!!! :)
@Ricky: I intentionally didn't call them 'kanche' because my beads are not perfect spheres, they are flat at the bottom...I sumtime decorate them as blue droplets of water around the bowl (filled with water + candles) on the table... *hehehe* is that girly enough for you?!
:D
I joined the gym twice last year and never got past the third week, so now its the homemade substitute! ;)
Hey Nupur,
Then you should have called it flanche (flat+kanche)..Yea, I know what you are thinking. Even I am amazed at my great sense of humor.
Yea, that was too-ewwwyy-girly for me. Anyways, in one of you post I think you said you were a tomboy at one point, so I was wondering...What's up with that?...ha ha.
Ricky...the-flanche-champion
@Ricky: GENIUS!! You are a genius!!!
* Rolling my eyes to heaven!
"kahaan kahaan se aa jaate hain?!" *
:D hahaha!!
And yaa..I really was a tomboy, had my hair 'boy'-cut till I was in class 9. And I had no intention of growing them.
Mom got worried and I started getting me more salwaar-suits instead of jeans/shorts!!
When I got many compliments that I look good in girlie dresses and they suit my figure, thats when the blub light up!
Now I'm a typical 'Chick'! - i.e. Girlie talk, makeup, goss..! The whole works!!
Hi Nupur,
As far as your "Kahan Kahan se aa jaate hain" comment, Well I was born in MHOW, then went to Shillong, Jodhpur, Agra, Srinagar, Leh, Kargil, Chandigarh, Meerut, Los Angeles, Stockton, Dehradoon, Bidar, NOIDA, and now Victoria...so here you go...ha ha.
I have a very funny story relating to a "boy-cut" hair. We moved to Meerut and my brother would have been around Grade 3. We were in this army mess temporarily and he made this friend and all, played all day with him and stuff. Next day my bro said, I am going to play with my friend and was embarrased to see that his guy-friend came in a skirt. He did'nt realise the whole day that she was a girl. And as you know at grade 3 you are at a stage when girls are "ewwwwwwwwwy". I still tease him about it...ha ha.

Oops...Sorry..My mistake...But it gave me an error, so I clicked it again...:(
@Ricky:  Well, I have one incident like that too.!!
When I had my haircut (in year 8, I think) and my whole family went to Vaisho Devi. We have to shower before we can visit the Temple. And I was in the Ladies toilet waiting outside mom's shower with her stuff, and this old 'punjabi' aunty came and stared at me. Then she said, "Aye Munde! Tu janaaiyan de gusalkaane-ch ki karda paya aan?!" (or so I recall!!) I was speechless as I didn't know punjabi then. All I understood was "munda" "janaani" "gusalkhaana".
To my relief a young aunty came to my rescue and told her, "Eh kudi hi aah. Aajkal kudiyaan bhi hair cut karaandi en!"
I hope I don't need to translate for any of you!!! :D
